But you really don’t need to do that, since every beginning chemistry student should know the basic trend in electronegativity in a period. The EN increases from left to right in a period. Therefore, of B, C, N, and O, oxygen will have the largest electronegativity, and B, the smallest. Therefore, a B-O bond will be the most polar.
B-O ==> most polar, because DEN is greatest
